  1. Rate My Play 
  2. This feature can be used to estimate the strength of your checker playing ability.  Once you enter this mode, you will not be able to take back a move, change the side you wish to play, ask for hints, edit the board, or see any of the computer's analysis.  You will be able to offer the program a draw, or resign at any time.

  4. Ratings are estimated according to the American Checker Federation's system.  The lowest rating assigned to a player is 400.  Don Lafferty and Ron King, the world's top players, are rated in the 2700's.

  6. 20 games are needed to establish your rating; thereafter, a formula can compute how your rating changes.  You can play your rated games at any time by evoking this menu item.

If, during the course of the game, you wish to not include this in your rating sample, simply reselect this menu item.  Play will resume as before, enabling all features, and this game's result will not effect your rating.  Don't worry if you lose a few games.  Losses are necessary to determine your skill level.  In fact, if you include only games you win, your rating will never be accurate.
